VFY Is Live. What Comes Next?
VFY is officially live for trading, and it marks a major milestone for the zkVerify ecosystem. For the first time, anyone can buy, hold, and participate directly in the network that is powering a new era of scalable proof verification.
If you are new to zkVerify or just picked up your first VFY, here’s the most important question you might be asking:
What can I actually do with it?
Let’s break it down in a simple, retail-friendly way.
You now have three paths with VFY
With VFY live on exchanges, holders generally fall into one of three groups:
1. Hold it
You can store VFY in your wallet and wait. Holding still gives you governance rights once voting is activated.
2. Trade it
You can buy or sell VFY on supported exchanges. This path is all about liquidity and flexibility.
3. Stake it
This is where things get interesting.
Staking lets you contribute to the network’s security and earn rewards for participating.
This blog series focuses on that third path.
What does staking even mean? (The simple version)
Staking is the process of locking your VFY on chain to help keep the network running reliably and securely. When you stake, you are backing professional operators called validators.
Validators run the machines that:
You don’t need to run hardware or be a developer to participate.
You simply choose the validators you want to support, lock in your VFY with them, and the network handles the rest.
As long as your validator performs well, you can earn a share of the rewards they generate.
Why staking matters for zkVerify
zkVerify is designed for a future where millions of proofs flow through the network daily. To reach that future, the network needs strong, reliable economic security.
That’s where staking comes in.
More staked VFY → higher security → more trust → more usage → more proofs running on the network.
Staking is what turns a network into a durable, self-sustaining ecosystem. Every staker plays a role in that growth.

Now that you know what staking is at a high level, the next two blogs will cover:
