2025: Year in Review
2025 was a building year in the best possible way.
zkVerify entered the year with a clear belief: verification at scale should be universal, fast, and affordable, and when it works, developers should feel Zero Doubt about the integrity of the proofs they rely on.
This year was about building the backbone that will support the next wave of ZK adoption. And by the time we reached December, that foundation was unmistakable.
We saw millions of proofs flow through the network. We onboarded hundreds of thousands of users.
We strengthened developer tooling, expanded verifier support, and grew a global community that now interacts with zkVerify every single day.
2025 was the groundwork.
2026 is where that groundwork becomes momentum.
Bringing zkVerify to Market
2025 was a major year for the core zkVerify platform. zkVerify crossed the line from infrastructure-in-progress to network-in-use with real users and real proof volume flowing through it everyday.
zkVerify Mainnet + $VFY landed on BASE
The launch of zkverify mainnet was the single most important milestone of the year. With mainnet came the VFY token generation event, strong market reception, and support from major exchanges and partners, giving zkVerify immediate global distribution and liquidity.
Deploying VFY on Base expanded zkVerify’s reach into one of the fastest-growing L2s, making it dramatically easier for developers to plug directly into zkVerify’s verification layer.
Ecosystem Growth Took Shape
By the end of 2025, countless ecosystem partners were building with or integrating zkVerify across key categories, including infrastructure, DeFi, gaming, and privacy.
First chain to verify native SP1 Prover Network proofs
zkVerify became the first chain to natively verify SP1 Prover Network proofs, a milestone not just for us, but for decentralized computation as a whole. Native SP1 verification unlocked a new category of proofs and cemented zkVerify as a go-to home for low-cost, high-performance verification, regardless of proving system.
8 Million Proofs Verified (and counting)
Proof volume surged throughout the year, validating both the network’s reliability and appetite from partners and builders.
The Launch of ProofPoints
ProofPoints is zkVerify’s community participation reward station: a unified system that tracks and rewards meaningful actions across the network. It helps users to learn about and participate in the zkVerify ecosystem. It replaced fragmented community campaigns with a single source of truth for engagement.
ProofPoints Season 1: An Instant Hit
We launched Season 1 in June. Overnight we saw:
By mainnet launch, over 400K accounts had connected to zkVerify. Distribution was global. Engagement was steady. And the foundation for an always-on community was set.
ProofPoints Season 2 launched
Season 2 marked a shift from experimentation to infrastructure. We added new social tasks, daily cadence, and ongoing Substrate address support work began laying the groundwork for full on-chain task automation heading into 2026.
Zero Doubt: Bringing Clarity to the Market
The 2025 rebrand was more than cosmetic. Zero Doubt is a clearer expression of zkVerify’ role: a universal verification layer reliable enought that developers, users, and businesses don’t have to second-guess the integrity of the proofs they rely on.
Enabling ZK Builders With Zero Doubt
2025 was about reaching builders wherever they were and giving them reasons to try zkVerify for themselves.
Global Hacker Houses and Workshops
Together, these events reached thousands of developers and produced dozens of deployments, prototypes, and zk-powered experiments.
A Standout Online Hackathon
Our January–February hackathon brought in a huge wave of participants. Many of these teams continued building in subsequent events and larger hackathons.
Proof of Physical Presence: DevConnect Bingo App
One of the more playful experiments from the DevRel team this year was the launch of the DevConnect Bingo App in Buenos Aires. Built on zkVerify’s proof-of-physical-presence flow, the app let attendees “check in” at key conference locations by taking a quick photo on their phone.
Behind the scenes, the app generated a verifiable proof confirming that the photo was captured at that place, at that moment, no GPS spoofing, no manual verification, just cryptographic certainty.
It was a fun way to bring ZK into the real world, show off what on-device verification can enable, and give conference-goers a hands-on taste of what Zero Doubt feels like.
Strong partnerships with top ZK communities
zkhack, ZKSummit, House of ZK, ETHGlobal events, the zkVerify DevRel tean showed up, mentored, educated, and helped teams deploy real proof flows using zkVerify.
2025 gave us reach. 2026 will give us acceleration.
We ended the year with global reach, real deployments, and developers who understand exactly what zkVerify can unlock, all with Zero Doubt.
Forging Partnerships That Scale ZK Adoption
2025 was a landmark year for zkVerify’s business development efforts.
Across infrastructure, privacy, DeFi, gaming, compliance, and real-world data, the team focused on one core goal: putting zkVerify into production environments where proof verification actually matters.
These partnerships did not just expand the ecosystem.
They drove real proof volume, unlocked new use cases, and positioned zkVerify as the modular verification layer teams can rely on with Zero Doubt.
1. Pioneering TEE Attestation Partnerships
One of the most important advances of the year was expanding verifiable Trusted Execution Environment attestations through partnerships with Phala Network, Secret Network, and the Proof of Cloud Alliance.
By integrating zkVerify directly into TEE pipelines, these collaborations made it possible for developers to generate and verify attestations on-chain with minimal integration work. Proving costs dropped by roughly 20%, while verification gas costs fell by more than 90%. This made verifiable computation viable for production use cases like secure randomness, privacy-preserving backends, and confidential DeFi logic.
Joining the Proof of Cloud Alliance further extended this work into cloud infrastructure, enabling on-chain verification of hardware attestations tied to real facilities. Together, these efforts brought ZK verification closer to the physical and confidential compute layers powering modern applications.
2. High-Volume Proof Integration with CallScan
zkVerify proved its ability to operate at scale through its integration with CallScan, which now submits between 50,000 and 100,000 proofs per day for verification.
CallScan powers a ZK-Verified PnL feature that proves trading performance without revealing wallet addresses, enabling reputation and leaderboard systems rooted in cryptographic truth. This partnership validated zkVerify’s capacity to handle sustained, high-frequency workloads while keeping costs low, setting a benchmark for future analytics and data-driven integrations.
3. Funding Breakthrough Use Cases Through the Thrive Grant Program
The Thrive grant program became a key engine for ecosystem growth in 2025, supporting dozens of teams building verification-first applications. Two standout projects were Glyph and Double Coconut.
Glyph is building a privacy-preserving identity layer that links wallets across chains using ZK proofs, enabling high-frequency attestations without gas costs. Double Coconut is applying zkVerify to fair, anonymous raffles on Telegram, using ZK-powered randomness and verification to support charitable giving at scale.
Together, these projects highlighted how zkVerify enables entirely new categories of applications in identity, governance, and gaming by making verification affordable and composable.
4. Cultivating Real Applications on the Horizen Chain
zkVerify also demonstrated its strength within the Horizen ecosystem by supporting projects like AdPriva and DataHubz.
AdPriva replaced cookies and tracking with cryptographic proofs to verify advertising engagement without collecting personal data. DataHubz transformed compliance statements into zero-knowledge proofs that can be verified on-chain without exposing sensitive information. These deployments showed zkVerify operating as a practical standard for privacy and compliance in regulated, real-world environments.
5. Advancing IoT Verification for the Physical World
Looking ahead, the business development team laid the groundwork for IoT and DePIN integrations, including early collaboration with projects like Oxygen Chain. These efforts aim to verify data coming directly from physical devices, such as pollution sensors or industrial equipment, using ZK proofs and on-chain verification.
This work opens the door to applications that extend beyond digital systems into infrastructure, environmental monitoring, and manufacturing, where trustless verification can have tangible human and environmental impact.
By the end of 2025, zkVerify’s partnerships were not theoretical.
They were live, producing proof volume, and validating the network’s role as a universal verification layer.
These collaborations set the stage for a 2026 focused on acceleration, deeper integrations, and verification at a scale the industry has not yet seen, all built with Zero Doubt.
A Word From Our Founder, Rob Viglione
2025 was the year zkVerify moved decisively from vision to live network traction and proved it can bring a fundamentally new infrastructure primitive to market.
The launch cadence mattered: community first, shipping in parallel, and then mainnet execution. Nearly 500,000 Proof Points participants stress-tested the system ahead of TGE, followed by a clean mainnet launch that is now processing proofs at an annualized rate exceeding 35M, with a forward-looking BD pipeline of 250M+ proofs per year. Just as important as scale is focus: zkVerify has zeroed in on the most consequential verification workloads, digital identity & KYC, compliance and auditability, private DeFi, verifiable AI, and enterprise/Web2 finance, use cases where proofs are complex, high-frequency, and economically infeasible on Ethereum or other EVMs. Backing this execution is Horizen Labs, whose depth in cryptography and large-scale protocol delivery materially reduces execution risk and signals long-term seriousness to builders, institutions, and tokenholders alike.
Looking to 2026, the story shifts from standing up the rails to saturating them with demand.
zkVerify is building for a post-AI world in which proofs are generated by devices, agents, and systems everywhere, at a scale that will overwhelm existing Web3 rails and make verification itself a scarce resource. As hundreds of projects, and increasingly enterprises and governments, come onchain, zkVerify is positioning itself as the best place in the world to verify zero-knowledge proofs, especially for computation-heavy systems that simply do not work elsewhere. This is where the token thesis sharpens: VFY is a leveraged bet on the demand curve for verification itself. As verification volume expands into the hundreds of millions and beyond, network revenue becomes the primary focus and with a fee-burn mechanism that turns the token deflationary as usage grows, value accrual is structurally tied to real economic activity. In a future measured not in thousands or millions, but potentially trillions of proofs, zkVerify is quietly laying the rails, making 2026 less about hype, and more about becoming indispensable.
Closing Thoughts
2025 wasn’t loud. It was intentional.
We strengthened the platform. We scaled verification.
We expanded the ecosystem. We made the experience easier for both developers and the community.
Most importantly, we built the foundation for a 2026 where zkVerify delivers verification at a scale the industry hasn’t seen, and does it with Zero Doubt.
zkVerify ends 2025 with confidence and clarity. In 2026, you’ll see what that confidence unlocks.
